Why Should You Automate?

Insurmountable Technological Advantage

Developing a patent-able or trade secret automated solution using existing technology to perform key tasks in your industry can put you solidly ahead of the competition and allows you to own and exclude others from using the patented process.

Eliminate Unsafe Work

Eliminate employee exposure to harmful chemicals, high pressure, radiation, rotating equipment, and other safety hazards. Reduce costs related to standby safety personnel, scaffolding, fall protection, personal protective equipment (PPE), work related injuries, insurance claims, and much more.

Increase Consistency and Quality of Finished Parts

Some products/parts are difficult for people to manufacture accurately and consistently. Automation increases tolerance, quality, and consistency of your finished parts and helps reduce the need for quality control. It also reduces costs associated with mistakes.

Create Higher Quality Jobs

Discontinue mundane tasks to increase employee engagement and to reallocate employee talent to value added activities such as new product lines, new services, or higher level decision making.

Increase Margins

Increase your margins by decreasing cost of manufacturing through the automation of manufacturing activities. A well cash-flowing business has an easier time expanding its sales and staff!

Automated Testing

Eliminate labour involved in testing. Introduce more control and consistency to the testing process and increase throughput of prototypes.

Decrease Volatility of Human Resources

Automation helps to insulate your business against fluctuations in seasonal staff and work.

Targeted Automation

Targeted Automation is a method of determining a select number of processes in your business that would benefit most from automation.

We do not attempt to automate your entire manufacturing process. Instead, we believe in designing automation systems to work with your employees to improve safety and productivity.
Automation should first and foremost: provide a safer working environment, remove inefficiencies, and help reallocate human resources to more important tasks.

Targeted Automation provides your business with a strategy to avoid getting left behind the competition with small incremental capital investments in new technology.
At each incremental investment, we ensure that the benefits created pay for the equipment in 2-3 years.
And by using this stepped approach to automate your business, it is faster to see that the investment is paying off in your bottom line.

What Clients Say

Steve McArthur

Steve McArthur

CTO, Pontus Protein Ltd.

"Stephen and his team have been a great resource in helping us take our ideas from paper to reality. They listened to our ideas, thoroughly understood the problem in the context of our unique industry setting. We were able to reliably communicate our expectations and feedback with their team from the initial stages of the project.

Their robotics and mechanical design expertise helped us develop key technologies that are necessary to perform vertical farming of water lentils. Stephen has helped us to develop our intellectual property strategy, wrote the technical portions of our patents, and introduced us to the right people to file and maintain our patents.

Throughout the length of the project, Stephen held regular meetings with our team and kept us updated about the progress status of the new developments. They have also treated our confidential information with care.

We would highly recommend them for their ability to design and build autonomous robotic vehicles."

Director of Manufacturing - Eon Aligner

"Stephen Bruce Wong and his team at Automation Experts have become an important partner in our pursuit to reduce production costs and massively increase production volume of clear dental aligners. They were instrumental in automating greatly sought-after processes in our industry and are valued as team members as we continue to improve these processes

We can never be sure, but as a direct result of their involvement, we believe we have automated these sought-after processes before many other companies in our industry.

The automation, CNC, fixturing, data processing, and vision solutions they provided us were creative, and worked within unique constraints especially the low cost of labor where it was a major challenge for eon to switch to automation due to the fact that the country that the facility is operating in has a really low cost of labor. The projected ROI for these projects remains excellent as the payback period is expected to be less than 2 years after commissioning.

Working with Stephen has been a pleasure as his team has always been professional and responsive. We’re usually used to the pace of business slowing when we work with companies on the other side of the globe, but this hasn’t been the case with Stephen’s team.

If you’re looking to work with someone who cares about the outcome of your project, I would certainly recommend Stephen and his team.

Best,
Fadi"

We hired Automation Experts to design and develop a difficult torque servo motor motion control application solution (program and fixture). They went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right, met our objectives and it was within our proposed budget. Stephen and his team were very flexible with their schedules and would even work evenings/nights to work around our test schedules. Stephen regularly kept us updated throughout the process. He took the time to fully listen to our needs and explain how his design would work to achieve those needs. Stephen and his team also continued to be accessible for support after the project was complete. Their excellent work allows us to achieve automated testing which enabled us to reduce our personnel required for testing to just one person instead of a team. Automation Experts are dedicated to providing innovative, high-quality solutions to their clients. We definitely recommend their services for automation solutions.

"Stephen is very knowledgeable and quickly came up with some excellent solutions we hadn't yet considered. I loved the semi-automated sanding solution that Stephen came up with for our manufacturing process. It looks like it will increase the consistency of our parts. Best of all it will save us between $1.88 and $4.50 per unit and it will pay for itself within 3-8 months."

George

Enchanted Woods, Calgary

We were experiencing mechanical issues with our mill for 9 months and we were having an extremely difficult time fixing it.

Stephen Bruce Wong was very knowledgeable about CNC machines and CNC technology. Arriving on site we were greeted with friendly service. He and his team took a systematic approach to diagnosing the problems with our mill. First he eliminated alignment issues, checked the linear guides and other tolerances. In the end, he discovered that the way the motor mount was constructed was putting stress on the ball screw.

Stephen's team designed some new mounting plates, machined them in their shop, and it fixed the problem.

If you're looking for someone who understands CNC machines and CNC technology, I would highly recommend Stephen and his team.
